A Comparative Study of Sino-american Corporate Blogs ——From Cultural Perspective

随着经济全球化的发展,世界范围内的商业往来也越来越频繁。同时,商业往来中出现的文化和语言现象则越来越受到人们的关注。作为一种新型的交流方式,企业博客渐渐在企业海内外市场营销活动中发挥作用。因此,关于企业博客特点的研究也随之进入了一个新的时代。Guidewire公司的调查显示,很多美国企业已经在商业领域使用了博客营销和博客交流技术。有些跨国企业,如:戴尔,沃尔玛,英特尔等已经开始尝试开通企业的中国博客。中国的一些企业也渐渐的意识到运用博客进行营销的重要性和迫切性。因此,寻找这些企业博客的在文化和语言方面的特点,为自己企业博客的建设铺路,成为现代企业的重要任务。跨文化企业博客研究,是跨文化交际研究中一个全新的领域。为了探究文化与企业博客的实质关系,对比中美企业博客在文化方面的特点,同时验证中美企业博客中体现出的文化特点是否符合中美国家的文化模式,本研究运用内容分析法,对比分析了30个美国企业博客和30个中国企业博客。30个美国企业均来自2010年世界财富五百强名单,30个中国企业则来自中国最权威的企业博客网站(http://www.bokee.net)。本研究中,Hall的高低语境文化维度和Hofstede著名的文化五维度被用来衡量文化维度在企业博客中的重要性和差异性,以对比中美企业博客的不同文化特点。研究结果显示,文化影响了企业博客的设计和建设,企业的博客建设也反映了该文化的一些特点和价值观念。文化维度中的一些参数(集体主义,男子气概、长期导向和高低语境文化)在中美企业博客中的确有显著性差异,但一些参数(不确定性规避、权力距离)并无明显差异。同时,中国企业博客中体现出的显著特点与中国文化模式一致,美国企业博客中的特点则与美国文化模式相统一。因此,文化因素确实在博客建设中起了作用,但这一现象还未受到企业的足够重视,特别是还未受到中国企业的足够重视。因此,博客建设者和市场营销工作人员需要调整自己的博客形式以适应不同文化背景的消费者和阅读者。最后,本研究还探讨了研究中的局限性和未来的研究方向。
