鲁迅的翻译思想和策略 ——基于韦努蒂异化翻译理论的研究

论文摘要

韦努蒂的异化翻译理论从忠实与通顺、文本选择、文体和语言选择等方面对异化翻译策略做了阐释,认为异化翻译是彰显语言和文化之异的翻译,提出选择翻译非主流的文本或用非主流的语言翻译都可以达到异化的效果。其理论传入我国后,开启了国内翻译界重新探索归化异化的高潮,上世纪五四新文化运动那场直译意译之争和鲁迅的翻译实践被重新讨论。一部分学者为鲁迅的翻译冠以“异化”的名号,认为其翻译中的“欧化”相当于韦努蒂笔下的异化。而另有学者认为鲁迅的翻译是直译,而直译并不能与韦努蒂笔下的“异化”相提并论,因此不认同鲁迅的翻译是异化翻译。然而不可否认的是,鲁迅翻译思想中的某些部分与韦努蒂的异化理论不谋而合。那么究竟在哪些方面两者相关?既然两者相关,那么鲁迅的翻译能否被称作异化翻译?如果可以,又是在哪些方面最能体现出韦努蒂的异化思想?这就是本文力求探索的问题。本文以韦努蒂异化理论中的要点为理论框架,分析鲁迅翻译思想和策略,以挖掘出两者相关的部分。研究将表明是,鲁迅的翻译可以被称为异化翻译,其中对外国文本的选择是最能体现韦努蒂异化翻译理论的一方面。
