基于目的论的河北旅游文本英译的研究

基于目的论的河北旅游文本英译的研究

论文摘要

旅游业是当今世界最大的文化服务产业,而中国将成为最大的旅游接待国。河北省是我国惟一兼有海滨、平原、湖泊、丘陵、高原的省份,旅游资源非常丰富,旅游业是它的主要文化和经济产业。如何更好的宣传河北,让世界了解认识河北,在很大程度上取决于河北旅游翻译的水平。然而,目前河北旅游文本英译的现状尚不能达到人们的满意,还存在着许多问题和不足,阻碍了中西文化的交流。在理论上,多数语言学者运用各种理论对旅游翻译也做过大量的研究,例如关联理论,对等翻译理论和功能理论等,研究的重点主要在语言学和跨文化交际方面。尽管有一些学者是从功能翻译理论角度着手的,但功能翻译理论尤其是目的理论应用于旅游翻译的实践还有待于进一步研究。本论文的研究目的就是利用德国功能翻译理论中的目的论去分析河北旅游文本的英译,找出其中的问题和不足,并且指明改进的方向。目的论认为翻译是一种跨文化的交际行为,有其预期的功能和目的,翻译过程和策略是由翻译行为预期的目的决定的。在目的论的指导下,笔者首先对旅游文本翻译的功能和目的进行了分析,作为一种介绍宣传资料,旅游文本翻译旨在为外国游客提供准确信息,吸引潜在游客来华旅游,同时向世界推广博大精深的中国文化。然后根据中西方不同的思维模式和审美差异,进一步比较分析了中英文旅游文本的语言特点。接着,笔者提出了旅游文本翻译的两大原则:以中国文化为取向,以读者的接受能力为重点。同时提出了旅游翻译应采用的方法:专有名词的直译加释义,文化信息内容的增添,适当删减汉语特色表达,文化类比等。在此基础上,笔者对河北旅游翻译实践中的一些问题进行了实例分析,最后提出旅游文本翻译不能单纯追求文字的对等转换或信息的等量传输,而是要使目标文本实现其呼唤功能,达到其交际目的,译者在翻译过程中必须牢记目标文本的功能和目的,考虑到汉英旅游文本的语言及文化特色的差异,考虑到目的语读者的接受能力,采取灵活的翻译策略和方法,不应拘泥于原文的形式和内容,翻译出能实现预期功能和目的的文本。笔者希望通过本文的研究能对旅游文本汉译英实践带来一定的启示,最终能够丰富提高河北省旅游资料的翻译质量,促进河北旅游文化的宣传。
