汉英翻译中中式英语现象及分析

论文摘要

随着中国对外开放政策的施行和对外交流的不断深入，翻译在其中正扮演着越来越重要的角色。翻译作为推动跨语言，跨文化交际活动的重要手段，它促进了我国同世界各个国家间的政治，经济，文化方面的相互学习，交流和借鉴。中国当前有成千上万人在从事与英语翻译有关的工作，然而遗憾的是，由于我们大多数人所使用的英语都会不同程度地受到汉语的影响，以此产生了一种被戏称为“中式英语”的特殊语言现象。“中式英语”不能为英语国家的读者理解或接受，甚至对我们原本要表达的意思产生误解和曲解，由此严重阻碍了跨文化交流的效果。中式英语，因其半英半汉，不英不汉，被琼·平卡姆成为“具有汉语特色的英语”。这样的英语每天都在我们的中间出现，见于街头广告词，见于我们的英语报刊，见于政府报告的文件。汉译英中出现的“中式英语”是影响译文质量的主要问题之一。中式英语的本质是受汉语影响的中介语，削弱了我们的对外宣传效果。本文作者首先回顾了“中式英语”的历史及其发展，并将其与另一个很常见的语言现象“中国英语”做了比较分析。之后作者将“中式英语”的种种特点进行归类阐述。对于“中式英语”产生的原因，作者从文化，思维方式以及语言结构差异等方面进行了归纳，使读者能够清楚地认识到“中式英语”的特征及问题所在。在本文的结束部分，作者对于如何避免“中式英语”提出科学而又可行的解决办法。恰当地使用这些办法会使译者最大程度得避免“中式英语”，从而达到预期的交流效果。
