基于语料库的中国学生英语写作中的名词错误研究

作为应用语言学的一个学科,错误分析是研究学习者语言的一个有效手段。虽然错误分析有其自身的局限性,但是计算机科学的发展,尤其是语料库语言学的发展弥补了它的不足,使其重新得到重视。运用语料库语言学的方法进行错误分析已经成为第二语言习得研究的重要课题。2003年中国的第一个大型学习者语料库的建成对我国开展语料库语言学研究具有重要的意义。本文以中国学习者英语语料库为基础,对中国学习者英语作文中的名词错误进行分析,旨在揭示中国学习者名词习得上的规律和问题,从而为外语教学提供借鉴。尽管对于英语作为第二语言的学习者的写作研究众多,对于写作中的名词错误的研究仍不充分。为了找出学生在写作中常犯豹名词错误,本研究试图从三个方面进行讨论:(1)中国学生英语写作中名词错误的特点是什么?(2)造成这些错误的可能原因是什么?(3)作文中的名词数量能否反映学习者的水平?研究结果表明:(1)名词错误在名词的数、一致性和与冠词一起使用时出现频率高。这些错误主要和名词屈折变化相关。(2)造成名词错误的原因主要包括母语负迁移、语内迁移、诱发性错误和其他复杂的因素。(3)作文中的名词数量不能反映学习者的水平。在教学方面,本研究有助于了解中国学生写作中常犯的名词错误,并通过探讨其可能原因为老师和学生在英语的教与学的过程中应该注意的问题提供建议。在名词教学中,老师应该唤起学生的名词意识;通过英汉对比学习名词:利用语料库和错误分析理论学习名词,并且在作文中更正名词错误。
