论文摘要

新词的出现意味着社会的进步与发展。当今世界,随着科技的迅猛发展,不可逆转的全球化势头使跨文化交际变得愈加重要和频繁。通过新词的翻译,中国也向外部世界展现着自己的巨大变化。然而,由于中文新词的“新鲜”以及具有强烈的中国特色,汉语新词的翻译难度不言而喻。本文着力于对汉语新词英译的研究。基于对汉语新词的科学的分析与研究,归纳总结了若干针对新词行之有效的翻译方法。全文共分为五章节。第一章是对论文的概括性介绍:陈述了新词的出现与现状,汉语新词英译的必要性和重要性,列举了近年来有关新词的研究成果,包括相关学术著作和论文。第二章是对中文新词的分析和研究。详实介绍了新词的定义、类别、汉语新词引进的理据、汉语新词产生的方式以及汉语新词的特点。第三章介绍中文新词英译的难点与特点。文中提到了新词翻译中存在的困难和翻译者常见的不足之处,同时归纳了汉语新词英译的特点。第四章是汉语新词英译的原则与方法。基于翻译的基本原则,提出新词翻译的标准。并着重介绍了几种行之有效的翻译方法以及补充说明了几个要点。第五章是对全文的总结。
