背景知识和语篇知识对大学英语听力理解影响的对比研究

听力理解是人们日常语言交际中的一项重要技能,培养学生的听力理解能力也是我国大学英语教学的重要内容之一。因此,听力理解受到越来越多学者的关注,近年来,随着图式理论在外语教学领域的应用的不断深入,其在听力理解中的应用在国内外也得到了广泛的研究。但这些研究大多侧重于背景知识对听力理解的影响,而忽略了语篇知识在听力理解中的重要性。而且,国内的这方面研究还处于起步阶段,有限的研究只是从理论上讨论背景知识在听力理解中的重要性,基于定量分析的实证研究却比较少。鉴于此,本文试图从实验的角度探讨背景知识和语篇知识对听力理解的影响。本研究主要解决三个问题:1)背景知识对受试者的英语听力成绩是否存在显著影响;2)语篇知识对受试者的英语听力成绩是否存在显著影响;3)在背景知识和语篇知识中,哪个对英语听力成绩的影响更大一些?本研究以许昌学院化学化工学院的120名大二学生作为受试对象,以英语听力测试和问卷调查为工具搜集实验数据,采用Excel和SPSS软件处理相关数据,实验结果显示:1)背景知识对受试者的英语听力成绩有积极的影响作用;2)语篇知识对受试者的英语听力成绩也有积极的影响作用;3)背景知识对受试者英语听力成绩的影响大于语篇知识对受试者英语听力成绩的影响。以上研究结果表明,听者具备一定的背景知识和语篇知识对听力理解有积极的影响。与语篇知识对听力理解的影响程度相比,背景知识对听力理解的影响更大一些。作者希望通过这次实验,更多的英语教师和学习者能够意识到背景知识和语篇知识在听力理解中的重要性,从而更有效地进行英语听力教学与学习。
