认知语言学视角下的新闻翻译 ——基于概念整合理论

论文摘要

根据认知语言学理论,尤其是Giles Fauconnier和Mark Turner等人的概念整合理论,笔者认为:翻译是译者的认知体验活动,是把源语民族人们对客观世界的认知和体验转化为目的语人们的认知和体验,所以翻译作为一种语际转换活动,与人类的认知和体验活动分不开。中西方在语言、文化、思维和意识形态方面都存在着巨大的认知差异,因此,译者在翻译的过程中对源语意义和目的语意义的理解,不仅可看作是人脑概念空间中的抽象概念事物,而且是在源语-目的语空间里进行的一系列复杂的映射、合成、组合和整合的过程及其结果。也就是说,翻译过程亦即译者主体思维在双语各认知空间中对所涉及的概念合成的过程。作为翻译中日益兴起的新闻翻译亦是如此。本文还依据原作传达的认知联系与输入空间内激活的组织框架之间的关系将新闻翻译划分为四种类型（直接投射对应物;将原文本空间的d投射进译文空间;将译者空间的e投射进译文空间; d和e同时投射进译文空间）,每一类型都适用于Fauconnier提出的某种特定的概念整合网络（单一网络、镜像网络、单域网络、双域网络）,而不论哪种网络结构都符合本文提出的四空间整合模式。文章还运用概念整合理论具体对中西新闻标题、新闻语言特点进行分析,挖掘人类认知思维幕后的“冰山一角”。概念整合理论与新闻翻译的结合为各自领域的研究都提供了崭新的视角,并且有利于各自理论的发展和完善。本文所作的尝试亦对学科交叉研究有所裨益。
