大学英语阅读教学中培养学生自主学习能力

近二十年来,学习者自主一直是外语教学界热门话题。尤其在西方文化环境下,英语教学的中心已由关注教师的教转移到学生的学。中国教育部也于2004年两度指出高校教育应该以学生为中心,强调自主学习和个性化教育,英语教学也不例外。本文作者以探讨自主学习和阅读的理论为开端,针对大学新生经过六年课堂英语教学仍阅读效率低下等特别问题,结合阅读教学的体验,提出在阅读教学中培养学生的自主学习能力来解决阅读教学中出现的以上问题。本论文的主要目的是为了论证在二语阅读教学中引入以课上阅读元认知策略训练与课后签订学习者合约为框架的自主学习训练能有效地培养和提升外语学习者自主学习能力。自主学习能力包括多方面,本文仅从阅读的层面进行探讨。研究者在前人培养自主学习能力设计的基础上,加以改良,设计出本研究所应用的培训方案。该培训方案在内蒙古师范大学青年政治学院的一个新生非英语专业班中进行为期2个月的以课上阅读元认知策略训练与课后签订学习者合约为框架的自主学习能力培养实验。在培训前,对学生进行了关于外语阅读自主学习意识及能力的调查问卷。结果表明学生普遍缺乏自主学习能力和意识,但他们还是很努力的学习英语,也有信心学好英语。因此在阅读教学中应及时运用新的方法培养学生的自主学习能力,从而提高他们的阅读能力。本研究中通过实验前后测试和一对一访谈,运用定性和定量分析。实验得出数据都通过SPSS V11.4进行统计数据分析,用以说明该培养方案的有效性。实验结果表明以课上阅读元认知策略训练与课后签订学习者合约为框架的自主学习训练与阅读教学相结合能够有效地提高自主学习能力,有助于培养学生课外阅读的习惯和提高阅读水平。本文主要分为五个部分。第一部分为前言,简述了本文的论题,研究的意义,相关的概念。第二部分为文献综述,综述了本研究的主要理论背景,和相关的实证研究。包括自主学习的概念,阅读的概念和自主学习的理论基础。然后综述了相关的实证研究。在这一部分也对目前大学英语阅读教学的情况做了总体概述。第三部分是本研究的训练方案和具体的研究方法。第四部分列出了主要的实验数据和分析结果,以及相关问题的讨论。第五部分是本研究的结论及研究的局限性。
