论英语报刊辅助高中英语阅读教学

论文摘要

阅读教学在高中英语阅读教学中一直受到重视,目前,中学英语课堂教学主要围绕教材展开,教学信息量少,其中的素材往往更新缓慢,阅读量不足,题材扩展面也较窄。从2003年高考辽宁卷、上海卷、北京卷来看,三份试卷都具有鲜明的导向,就是必须扩大词汇量,要阅读有关现代生活、社会、文化、科技的文章,提高获取信息和处理信息的能力。新高考对考生提出了较高的要求。在长期从事英语教学中,我们发现培养中学生的英语阅读能力单纯靠中学英语课本已经不能满足学生的需要。同教材相比,英语报刊具有内容新、容量大、题材多样化,趣味性强、贴近生活、时代性强等特点,把它作为阅读教材,以激发学生的学习热情,丰富了教学的资源,拓宽了学用渠道,调动了学生学习英语的积极性,从而培养了学生学习英语的兴趣。实际上,阅读理解是读者通过与文章之间相互作用获取意义的过程。为了实现对一篇文章的理解,读者要经历一系列的心理过程,在阅读过程中,读者并非对文章惊醒逐词阅读,而是利用已有的知识和阅读策略对文章进行综合信息处理的复杂过程。因此,在报刊阅读过程中,教师充分了解阅读理解的心理过程及学生原有的知识在阅读理解中的作用,有效的进行英文报刊阅读,以辅助英语教学,提高学生的英语阅读水平。本文探讨了以理解的心理过程和图式理论为理论基础,尝试和开发其在高中英语阅读中的作用,并进一步阐述该理论在英语报刊阅读中的应用,以英语报刊阅读作为辅助手段,达到提高学生阅读能力的目标。着重从以下四个方面入手:1.影响阅读的因素。2.阅读理解的心理认知过程。3.图示理论。4.英语报刊阅读教学策略。通过近一个学期的教学实验以及对学生的调查,发现学生对上阅读课的兴趣明显增强,阅读能力有了显著提高。作者亦指出了本研究的不足之处,并就今后相关研究方法及方向提出了建议。
