高中生英语阅读中不同任务投入量对词汇附带习得的影响

当今,越来越多的外语研究者和教师正对英语词汇给予重视。他们认为词汇习得对于语言学习者的学习是非常重要的。许多语言学家指出语言学习者以附带方式学习了大量词汇。在最近几十年,附带词汇习得已经被认为是应用语言学领域的一个新的发展趋势。国内和国外的研究者对在第二外语阅读过程中影响附带语言习得的几个因素进行了测验。虽然附带语言习得能够使学习者的词汇积累达到一定的程度,但是学习者能够达到什么程度,哪种阅读任务能使他们的词汇习得更有效,这些都需要进一步研究。2001年,Laufer和Hulstijn提出一个关于第二外语习得的投入量假说理论。这个理论被从心理的角度阐述,包括需要,研究和评估。该理论声明在任务投入量水平更高时,学习者词汇习得效果更好。本论文的撰写人以实践测验为基础,通过进行基于投入量假说理论的实验来探寻高中生是否能通过阅读来附带习得词汇,明确哪种任务投入量对于学习者词汇习得更有效,大投入量还是小投入量;是否不同投入量对于2010年入校的铁岭求实高中的高中生长期习得目标单词产生相应影响。作者根据给参加测试学生不同投入量的任务,把他们分为三组,对他们进行了英语词汇附带习得测试。其中任务包括多项选择、填空和造句,并且对测试结果进行了分析。研究结果表明,该项研究完全支持投入量假设理论,参加实验的三组学生能在阅读过程中不同程度的附带习得和记忆词汇知识。执行较高投入量任务的学生的词汇附带效果好于低投入量任务的学生。高投入量的任务和时间皆对学生附带习得词汇的长时记忆有影响。
