论电影片名翻译中的译者主体性

论文摘要

电影是人们喜闻乐见的艺术形式,作为电影的重要组成部分,电影片名具有传达信息,表现美感和吸引观众的功能。但是,电影片名的翻译并非易事,虽然目前很多译者就电影名的翻译提出各种各样的翻译方法,但仍然缺少具有科学性和指导性的系统翻译理论。本文从电影片名的功能和特点入手,分析了电影片名的翻译现状及现存的翻译理论在指导电影片名翻译中的不足。在此基础上,作者尝试着用译者主体性理论指导电影片名的翻译。通过对于电影片名功能与译者主体性的特点的比较得知,使用译者主体性这一理论来研究电影片名的翻译是合理的、可行的。接下来,作者具体论述了译者主体性理论在如下方面对电影片名翻译发挥的指导作用:选择原文本、在理解文本上、选择恰当的翻译方法、形成最终译稿。在理论阐释之后,作者进行了个案研究,进一步验证了该理论应用在电影片名翻译这一领域中是可行的,同时作者希望译者主体性这一理论对电影片名翻译的质量有一定的指导意义。
