语块在英语口语教学中的应用研究 ——以高职高专学生为基础的案例研究

近年来,语块在二语习得中所发挥的作用得到了广泛的认可。语块是在自然话语中高频率出现的,由短语或者其他句法单位构成的大于单词,且语义和形式都较为固定的语言片段,语块以整体的形式预储存在人的大脑中。它集中了语法、语义和语境的优势,便利了话语的组织及应用过程,减轻了语言使用者的现时语言处理负担。语块的习得对于英语学习者口语输出的流利度,准确度,均有推动作用。在此基础上,笔者以英语口语课堂为媒介,对沈阳工程学院2010届118名大一新生进行了为期八周的语块实验口语教学,采取定量和定性分析相结合的方法,旨在探讨以语块为中心的教学法是否有助于提高高职高专学生英语口语水平的提高。实验班采用语块教学法而对照班采用传统的词汇教学法。在实验开始以及结束分别进行了两次口语测试并收集了相关数据。实验结果表明：实验前多数学生口语水平相当,但实验后,接受语块教学的实验班的学生在口语输出水平要好于对照班学生,实验班学生在语块数量,流利度,准确性都有显著提高；问卷调查显示75%以上的学生认为通过语块教学法的教学,其口语水平得到提高,并且在减少语法错误以及促进学生灵活使用语言方面起到了促进作用。此结果证实了以语块为中心的教学法能够提高学生口语输出水平。同时本文分析了语块错误产生原因：母语的干扰以及口语输出锻炼机会的缺乏。笔者认为,词块理论为口语教学提供一套清晰可执行的指导方针。希望该研究对于语块教学法在语言教学中应用和改善英语口语教学有所启发。
