论文摘要: 本文以语篇关系理论,即:Mann & Thompson的修辞结构理论(1978),Winter的小句关系理论(1971),Hoey词汇关系理论(1991),以及Hoey (1983)的最小语篇基本结构理论为基础,通过对英语语篇,汉语语篇和中介语语篇(即:中国学生英文习作)的各种语篇关系的对比分析,探究了英汉语篇修辞表现形式和深层结构模式的相似性与差异,以及对二语写作的影响等。本文选择的分析材料以学术语篇为主,因为学术语篇是二语学习者最常用的语篇类型一本文的第一章是引文,旨在提出本论文研究的目的、要点、问题和假设。本章通过三项微型研究或调查(即:英语本族语言人与非本族语语言人对中国学生所写的英语语篇的可理解性,可接受性和适当性调查问卷,高级英语语篇排序练习,和英汉语篇结构对比分析),为本研究找到了支撑点和所要解决的问题,从而提出了以下四个假设:1)英语语篇与汉语语篇的表层结构,特别是在宏观修辞结构或信息组织方面,有很大差异,英语语篇为演绎法,汉语语篇为归纳法。然而,英汉语篇均依赖并列连词,从属连词和词汇重复来实现小句和句群之间的语义联系。2)尽管英汉语篇中都以提出问题-解决问题为最小语篇模式,但是英语语篇更习惯于使用转折式,而汉语语篇更习惯于使用因果式。3)中国学生所写的中介语语篇在语篇关系的构建上,反映了英汉两种语言的语篇特征,然而,中介语语篇在宏观修辞结构上更接近于母语语篇,而在语篇实现的微观层面上,如;并列连词,从属连词,和词汇重复的使用,更接近于目的语语篇。4)中国学生所写的中介语语篇,直接和间接地受汉语修辞习惯的影响,特别是汉语语篇中的最小语篇模式,即:因果关系。总之,本文的研究目可概括为三个方面:一,进一步明确英汉语篇之间的关系,英汉语篇是截然对立的两种语言类型,还是一个连续体上的两个不同个体;二,弄清母语修辞习惯对二语写作究竟有什么样的影响;三,认识语言作为语篇的内涵,以及语篇教学对二语写作教学的理论和实践指导意义。本文的第二章主要探讨了功能语法,对比修辞和语篇分析中的语篇关系和最小语篇模式等。在这些理论框架的指导下,本论文主要进行了两类研究和分析。一是在第三章中,通过对英汉语篇和中介语(英语)语篇(即属于同一体裁类型的书序),对比分析了语篇修辞关系在宏观和微观语篇层次上不同表现方式。另一是在第四章中,通过对假定的最小基本语篇结构:提出问题—解决问题模式的分析,探究了隐含在英汉语篇底层的核心和共同特点。在此基础上,第五章对语言和非语言因素在二语写作和语篇生成过程的影响进行了探讨,同时对语言作为语篇的诸方面,如语篇的动态本质,书面语篇和
