新建本科院校英语专业与非英语专业大学生英语词汇学习策略的对比研究

二十世纪七十年代以来,国外外语教学研究逐渐从“怎样教”转移到了“怎样学”,从研究“教师”转移到了研究“学生”,因此第二语言学习策略的研究得到了快速发展。词汇是语言的基本单位,作为学习策略的一种,国外语言学领域中涌现出大量有关词汇学习策略的理论与实证研究。研究者从不同角度对词汇学习策略进行了深入的探讨并取得了丰富的成果。自20世纪90年代起,英语词汇学习策略也引起了国内学者的重视。他们对国内学习者学习英语词汇做了实证性研究。文秋芳教授撰文指出第二语言学习策略研究,无论是广度,还是深度上,都还有很大的发展空间。近年来,随着我国高等教育的飞速发展,一批新建本科院校不断出现,为高等教育注入了活力,但不可否认,新建本科院校在生源,师资,教学设施方面与其它已建的老牌本科院校都有很大差距。本研究旨在以新建本科院校大学生为调查对象,试图回答新建本科院校中大学生使用词汇学习策略的总体现状,具体策略的使用情况以及英语专业和非专业学生在策略使用上是否存在差异。本文采用问卷形式对200名英语专业和非英语专业本科二年级学生进行了调查,借助sPSS13.0对相关数据进行统计,反映出了学生对词汇学习策略的使用情况。利用T-检验对比了英语专业和非专业学生在词汇策略使用上的差异。基于研究结果,笔者认为在教学过程中教师应帮助学生认识了解更多的词汇学习策略,对学生进行有目的的策略培训,以更有效的扩大学生的词汇量。
