农村高中学生英语自主学习研究

论文摘要

近三十年来,自主学习已成为教育界的热门话题。英语教学的中心由老师怎样教转移到学生的怎样学,并且国家教育部颁发的《英语新课程标准》中把培养学生综合语言运用能力作为总体目标,其中培养学生自主学习能力作为英语教学的主要任务之一。在国内,众多的学者对自主学习进行了大量的研究,但是关于对中学生自主学习的实证研究不多,以农村中学生为研究对象的更少。本文在建构主义,人本主义和认知理论的指导下,通过对处于贫困地区的灵寿县三所不同高中的267名高中生进行了中学生自主学习情况的调查,分析了影响农村中学生自主学习的主要因素,并以笔者所任教的一个班为实验对象进行了对学生自主学习的一个学期的培养。此论文试图探讨以下两个问题:1)农村中学生的自主学习能力是否能培养起来;2)自主学习的程度和英语学习成绩的关系。笔者在分析了影响农村中学生自主学习的主要因素基础上,以学习策略、态度与动机、自尊、师生角色的转变、学生的自主学习意识为条件,采用了激发学生英语学习的动机的方法、学习档案、反思、培养他们学习和应用学习策略、合作学习、签定和约、指导学生制定合适的学习目标和计划、利用真实学习材料等一系列方法和手段来培养农村学生英语学习自主能力。通过数据分析、实证研究和结果比较,作者得出下面的研究结果:1)通过培养,大多数的学生自主学习的程度有所提高;2)自主学习能力和英语成绩有正相关。总之,培养中学生英语学习的自主能力不仅作为中学英语教学的长期目标,而且自主学习是学习者进行终生学习所必需的一种能力。作者通过对自主学习能力的研究,在于寻找出一条适合师资力量薄弱、教学设备差的农村中学的有效的教学途径,以提高农村中学生的英语学习效率。
