高中英语教材中词汇练习题研究

知识经济时代的到来,社会对人才提出了更高的要求。2001年在全国开始了课程改革,并颁布了新课标,编撰了新教材,增加了词汇量。笔者在一所普通中学任教,发现学生英语学习的最大困难是词汇问题。另外,教材是学生学习的主要工具,新教材的根本变化就是习题的变化,习题由机械操练变为有意义的任务,教材中的习题的质量反映着教材的质量(夏纪梅,2003),同时习题又为学生提供了不同的词汇呈现环境,这大大有助于词汇的习得,因此,笔者开始此项研究,旨在查明:新普通高中英语教材词汇习题的设置情况,其背后蕴含着怎样的教学理论,目前使用教材时存在怎样的问题,从而找到有效地使用这套教材的办法,提高词汇教学的效果。首先,笔者研究了教材分析理论以及关于词汇习题的研究成果。接着,基于上述理论,采用描述性分析的方法进行研究。研究分两个阶段,第一阶段为静态资料的收集,对教材中的词汇习题进行分析;第二阶段是动态资料的收集,对教师和学生进行问卷调查,并对问卷结果进行分析评价。通过分析比较,作者发现这套教材在设计词汇习题时强调词汇的语境意义,突出词汇的无意识习得,习题设置难度由易到难,形式多样,题材内容贴近生活实际,注重文化意识及学习策略的培养,但是,教材中接受性习题明显少于产出性习题。针对这些,作者指出了教材在设计词汇习题方面的优点和缺点,以便教师在教学中能够扬长避短,合理使用教材。最后,作者指出对词汇习题的分析尚处于一个初级阶段,其方法还有待于在以后的研究中进一步完善。
