ESP引入高职汽车专业的英语教学改革初探 ——以浙江交通职业技术学院为例

论文摘要

随着经济全球化程度的不断提高和中国经济的快速发展,培养能适应外向型经济的职业型和应用型一线工作人员已成为我国高职教育的发展方向。因此,当前我国高职英语的总体培养目标就是要培养学生在特定范围内运用这门语言的能力。专门用途英语(ESP)是英语教学的一个重要分支,它建立在需求分析的基础上,主要用来满足学生特殊学习目的。可见,专门用途英语的教学理念与高职英语的培养目标一致。本人作为浙江交通职业技术学院的一名英语教师,在参与《汽车英语》教材的编写过程中,意识到该校汽车学院的英语教学改革势在必行。本研究试图从ESP的角度探讨适合浙江交通职业技术学院汽车学院的英语教学改革的有效的、可行的办法。本研究从目标情景、目前情景和学习者个人信息三个方面进行详尽的调研和需求分析,在分析结果的基础上总结出6条适合浙江交通职业技术学院汽车学院进行英语教学改革的合理建议:1、提高对ESP重要性的认识; 2、以ESP需求分析为基础来进行ESP课程设置和时间安排; 3、开发校本ESP教材;4、团队教学;5、改进教学方法;6、校企合作。本研究的2点创新:1、设置初级ESP课程,实现EGP向ESP的合理过渡。2、校企合作与高职汽车专业的英语教学的联姻。
