初中生英语考试焦虑调查研究

考试焦虑作为一种复杂的心理状态,在以考试为导向的现代社会里随处可见,尤其是存在于学生群体中。在中国,有关考试焦虑的研究很多,然而,英语考试焦虑,作为一种具体的考试焦虑类型却没有得到足够的关注。有关英语考试焦虑的研究,尤其是以初中生为研究对象的研究并不多见。本研究采用定量研究的方法,首先调查了初中生英语考试焦虑的现状以及年级间的总体情况。然后,探讨了英语考试焦虑与英语考试成绩之间的关系。最后,调查了初中生英语考试焦虑的主要来源。通过方便抽样,本研究抽取了苏州某所中学的239名初中生作为研究对象,他们分别来自三个年级六个完整的班级。由于五分问卷属于无效问卷,所以实际的研究对象只有234人。本研究采用了稍加修改后的中文版考试焦虑量表来测量初中生的英语考试焦虑,并采用郑日昌的考试焦虑来源问卷来调查初中生英语考试焦虑的主要来源。所有的定量数据通过社会科学统计软件包SPSS12.0进行处理,使用了描述性分析和皮尔逊相关分析等统计手段。研究结果显示初中生总体上存在着中等程度的英语考试焦虑。与初一、初三学生相比,初二年级的学生存在着较低程度的英语考试焦虑;然而初二年级的高英语考试焦虑的比例却相对高一点。通过比较发现初一和初三学生的英语考试焦虑水平相当。此外,研究还发现英语考试焦虑与英语考试成绩存在着显著的负相关;初中生英语考试焦虑的来源主要是担心考坏了影响别人,尤其是父母和老师对自己的评价,以及担心对英语考试准备不足。
