语篇语言学理论在非英语专业阅读教学中的应用

论文摘要

阅读是学生英语听、说、读、写四项基本技能的重要组成部分,因而阅读教学也成为大学英语教学的重要组成部分。但中国的大学英语阅读教学存在一些问题,这与教学中采用的教学方法有很大关系。在中国传统的英语阅读教学中,教学的重点是在词汇与语法层面,突出强调对单词和语法知识的掌握,导致学生对阅读文章的整体把握和理解能力较低,在领会作者写作意图和文章主旨方面表现较弱。近年来语言学领域中语篇语言学研究的兴起与发展为阅读教学提供了新的视角和观念。语篇语言学从结构和功能方面研究语篇,强调语篇是一个各组成部分之间相互联系的整体,将语篇的结构与其所承载的功能相结合,从衔接、词汇模式、小句关系、篇章模式等语篇的不同层次研究语篇的特征和功能。这一理论对改变传统以词汇、语法为重点的阅读教学方式、提高学生的阅读理解能力有很大帮助。本文旨在以问卷调查和访谈的形式,调查中国非英语专业大学英语阅读教学中存在的问题,分析问题产生的原因,并采用实验的方式,试图将语篇语言学中的相关理论应用于英语阅读教学,考察其对提高学生的阅读能力和阅读教学的效率和水平的作用。
