非英语专业大学生词汇学习策略研究

论文摘要

本研究以江西师范大学非英语专业二年级186名学生为调查对象,通过问卷调查、词汇测试练习,探究非英语专业学生词汇学习观念和词汇学习策略使用情况,高分组和低分组,男生和女生在词汇学习策略方面有何差异。运用社会学统计软件SPSS11.5进行数据分析,通过描述性统计分析表明非英语专业学生词汇学习观念和策略的总体使用情况,用独立样本T检验对高分组和低分组学生,男生和女生的词汇策略进行了比较。结果表明:(1)学生普遍相信“应该通过应用来学习单词”。(2)大多数学生在词汇学习过程中使用多种词汇学习策略。具体的词汇策略中,学生最常使用的是选择性注意﹑猜测策略、词典策略和记笔记策略,很少使用语义编码和活用策略来学习单词。(3)高分组和低分组学生在以下策略应用上有显著性差异:选择性注意和记笔记策略、上下文猜测策略。(4)男、女生在以下策略的使用方面呈现显著性差异:猜测策略、记笔记策略和上下文编码策略。基于以上结果,本研究为英语词汇的教学和学习提供了一些启示和建议。对于教师来说,首先,使学生认识到词汇学习观念和学习策略的重要性;其次,创设愉悦的学习环境,减少学生的焦虑,加强词汇学习的自信;再次,教师应该在课堂上教给学生词汇学习策略并指导他们如何适当使用它们;最后,教师应该关注学生的成绩、性别差异,提供多种学习策略指导以满足不同学习者的需要。对于学生来说,首先,应该认识到他们使用的学习策略并应更多地通过上下文和运用来学习单词;其次,学生应就词汇学习策略展开讨论以便选择合适的策略促进词汇学习。
