手机短信的语用研究

论文摘要

近年来手机短信交际对人们的生活和工作产生了很大的影响,已成为深受广大用户青睐的交际方式之一,因此手机短信已受到国内外语言界的广泛关注。但由于短信语言研究还是语言学研究的新领域,因此就总体研究形式而言,国内的研究相对要多;对短信语言直观感性的收集、分类和介绍的较多,但形成系统理论的较少,尤其是在手机短信策略性地顺应语境方面,还是语言学领域的一个空白。因此,本文以手机短信语言为研究对象,以国际语用学会秘书长耶夫·维索尔伦(2000)的语言顺应论为理论框架,研究方法是基于语料的定性研究,旨在证明该理论是否对手机短信语言有较强的解释力,即手机短信语言是否具有顺应性。在维索尔伦的语言顺应论和手机短信语言实例的基础上,本研究分析了手机短信使用者做出语言选择的原因,发现了语言选择其实是语言使用者顺应语境的结果,即顺应心理世界、社交世界、物理世界和语言语境的结果。具体来说,就是对人们的标新立异和追求时尚的心理、希望拉近心理距离的需求、希望放松心情的需求、追求交流高效率的心理等因素的顺应,是手机用户对社会规约,文化趋同,现代交际习惯以及新政策等社会因素的顺应,是对手机的时空等物质世界因素的顺应,是对语码和文本体裁等语言语境的顺应。最终本研究得出结论:手机短信具有很强的顺应性。文章还进一步讨论了手机短信的功能,大体分为普通功能与特殊功能两方面。手机短信除了传递信息,表达情感普通功能以外,在不同的语境下,手机短信还可以起到特殊的功能,如:窘迫消除,格次提升以及平衡功能等等。因此,本研究在某种意义上说既有理论意义也有现实价值。
