话语连贯的认知研究

话语连贯的认知研究

连贯最初是并且迄今为止一直是修辞学的一个重要术语和研究课题。在韩礼德与哈桑的《英语的衔接》一书出版后,在语言学的研究中连贯成为一个重要的话题。连贯是语篇以及话语的基本的特性之一,是一个复杂的语言现象,它涉及到语义,语用以及认知等各方面,因而成了研究中的一个重要课题。为了描写和解释连贯的标准、产生的机制等方面,语言学界先后出现了衔接、主位推进等多种理论以及阐释模式,从不同角度帮助人们深化了对连贯性的认识。但是这些理论虽然有较强的描写力,其解释力却有待提高,未能充分揭示连贯的本质。本文将对几种主要的连贯理论和阐释模式试加评述,从不同角度来探讨话语连贯。话语连贯可以从语义方面加以考虑比如局部连贯,宏观结构。从语用角度分析,言语行为理论以及关联理论对连贯也有一定的解释力。图式、脚本等背景知识则是从心理角度来构建话语连贯。从认知角度来讲,概念合成理论对于隐喻、转喻的连贯性具有较强的解释力;说话人的参与性则主要研究的是因果关系的连贯性。通过对这些理论的阐释,期望能对连贯研究的深入发展有所裨益。
