“写长法”对二语词汇学习的影响

“写长法”是王初明教授针对我国外语学习环境的特点而提出的一种外语学习方法。“写长法”的基本思路是:针对学生学外语多年而不会运用的困境,以设计激发学生表达真实情感和写作冲动的任务为教学重点,在一定的学习阶段,顺应外语学习的规律,通过调节作文长度要求,逐渐加大写作量,促使学生速将外语知识打造成外语运用能力。词汇教学是外语教学的重要环节,当前大学英语词汇教学与大学生的词汇水平是不平衡的,即“输入与输出”不对称,重输入轻输出的现象普遍存在。大多数教师和学生都把精力集中在了扩大词汇量上,忽视了词汇运用能力的培养。本文旨在研究“写长法”对非英语专业学生词汇学习的影响,尤其是对词汇产出意识及产出能力的影响。首先回顾与分析了当前我国大学英语词汇教学中存在的问题及其原因。其次,主要介绍了该实证研究的理论依据,包括词汇知识的不同层面,输入、输出及写作在词汇学习中的作用及其研究现状。然后,介绍了“写长法”的教学理念及实施步骤。尔后为实证研究部分,详细阐述了该研究的目的、对象、工具、研究过程以及数据的收集与分析,并得出了结论。最后是教学启发部分,总结了该实证研究对大学英语教学的启示,并提出了建议。本文对110名非英语专业一年级学生进行研究,采用了定量和定性相结合的研究方法,包括测试、问卷和访谈三种形式。通过研究发现:“写长法”在很大程度上有助于激发学习者在词汇学习中的产出意识,帮助学习者培养其词汇产出能力,“写长法”还有助于提高学习者的整体语言水平。
