基于Hofstede文化价值观维度的中西创世神话比较

论文摘要

研究目的–本论文探讨Hofstede所揭示的一些中西文化价值观差异是否源自古代–扎根在西方和中国的创世神话之中。换言之,本论文讨论Hofstede总结的一些中西文化价值观的定性指标是否和中西方创世神话的特点有所联系。研究方法–创世神话反映了古代的文化价值观。创世神话所涉及的问题均为文化的基本问题。虽然用现在的眼光看,创世神话提供的回答未免谬误,但是这种回答本身却反映了先民对世界和自身的看法。由于时间的阻隔,创世神话和现代文化价值观之间的联系并不显而易见。不过,如钟健(2008, p.6)所言,“不同的文化会用自己的独特的思维模式来解释创世的过程。因此,创世神话的差异体现了不同文化在初始阶段的差异性,构成了各文化的文化基因,体现了各文化最初的关注点。这种初始阶段的差异性可能会影响、制约和规定各文化的内在特性和发展方向。”因此,本研究采用定性分析的方法对中西创世神话进行文本分析,并且结合Hofstede文化价值观的定性指标,探讨古代创世神话在哪些方面对当代中西文化差异造成了影响。发现–本研究发现,中西创世神话的一些关键差异和Hofstede总结的一些中国和西方当代文化价值观差异的定性描述十分相似。从而表明这些当代中西文化价值观差异可能源自古代。价值–本研究是基于Hofstede文化价值观维度对中西创世神话进行对比的第一个研究。其结果将有助跨文化交际的学者从一个新的角度理解中西方文化价值观差异的历史原因。
